“Travel is fatal to bigotry, far-sightedness and discrimination.”
As Mark Twain so eloquently put it in 1846
Cultural geography is what helps us make sense of our world by showing us the connections between people and places. Without this knowledge, our young people are not ready to face the challenges of the increasingly interconnected and competitive world in the 21st century. We continuously hear about the focus on globalization and the world economy.
Each kit, received monthly, explores a new country, and allows your child to become immersed in that country. A six-page newsletter is filled with information about the country’s culture, geography, economy, politics and more. A worldwide map, along with individual country maps allows the student to locate the countries on the globe and then study them individually. A country specific craft and recipe are included to help them start to understand and appreciate the cultures. The child will learn some of the language, learn the value of and convert their currency and learn about some of the pop culture of that country. Lastly their tour guide Nate, sends them a letter and shares some of his and his dog Zeus' experiences in that country. Great way to learn and have fun!
Inspiring the next generation of global citizens
